Job description
SonyLIV is seeking an Assistant Manager - Business Analytics, Digital Business. The incumbent will be responsible for enabling data-driven decision-making across the organization and ensure that data is transformed into actionable insights that support business strategies, optimize operations.
Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field. Experience: 6+ years of experience in a data analytics role. Experience in the OTT or media industry is a plus but not necessary. Location - Bengaluru Key Responsibilities: Business Planning and Strategy: Work with stakeholders to understand their strategic goals and identify areas where data driven insights can drive business value. Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand their analytical requirements and deliver data-driven insights that support decision-making and operational improvements Viewership Maximization: Drive efforts towards maximizing viewership on SonyLIV and ensuring profitability from advertisement business Create Data and Consumer Driven Culture: Create and monitor interactive and automated dashboards to democratize data access to the team to track and monitor their individual business KPIs Dashboard adoption: To ensure that dashboards are effectively utilized to generate meaningful reports, and visualizations that provide actionable insights across teams Data Management- Collaborate with data engineering team to ensure data from various sources is collected, stored, and maintained in a reliable and accessible manner Stakeholder Communication: Effectively communicate complex analytical findings in a clear and understandable manner, facilitating data-driven discussions and ensuring that insights are used to inform business strategies People Management : Provide leadership and direction to the team, delegate work effectively. Help directs with performance management, coaching and development. Should be good at communication, conflict resolution, resource management, and change management Critical Competencies: Behavioural Problem solving ability to understand and solve complex business problems with ease. Must possess the ability to switch between execution and strategy mode effortlessly. Ability to see the big picture, visualize the future and develop relevant functional strategies which value add to our business. Ability to prioritize and cope with competing demands. Must possess a sense of urgency and excellent execution skills. Passion for results and excellence while collaborating with cross-functional teams. Inquisitive and analytical mind; out-of-the-box thinking; bring a creative perspective to business problems applying functional expertise, and business understanding. Technical Ability to comprehend business problem and write complex queries in SQL to get desired results Proficient in data wrangling through python or R Experience working on basic Machine Learning algorithms such as Random Forest, Boosting, K Means clustering etc. Strong data storytelling skills to effectively communicate insights to business teams Strong experience with at least one BI tool such as Tableau, PowerBI, Looker etc. Why join us?
