About us:

We are ICeNd - a newborn startup with an ambition to be the next generation leader in nanotechnology and quantum hardware. Our vision is futuristic for the sustainability of humanity on earth and outside earth. Our current MVPs, Universal Nanodevices or UNanoD, enable real-time molecular studies for drug discovery, structural biology, material discovery, and pollution sensing at the precision of single molecule level. We partner with giant microscopy companies to enter the microscopy and energy sectors. ICeNd's headquarter is at Eindhoven, The Netherlands. We have an engineering site in Bengaluru, India.

Vacancy:

We are seeking a highly motivated and results-oriented Country Head to lead and manage our on-ground operations in India. As a senior retired Indian government official (Ex-Army/Ex-IAS), you will leverage your extensive experience, leadership skills, and deep understanding of the Indian landscape to build and manage a high-performing team. You will be responsible for establishing and expanding our presence in India, ensuring smooth day-to-day operations, and driving strategic growth initiatives.

Responsibilities:

Oversee all aspects of our India operations, including business development, government relations, human resources, and administration.

Develop and implement a comprehensive operational strategy aligned with the company's overall goals.

Build and manage a high-performing team, fostering a culture of collaboration and innovation.

Identify and establish strategic partnerships with key stakeholders in India, including government agencies, industry leaders, and academic institutions.

Navigate the regulatory environment and ensure compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.

Represent the company at industry events and conferences in India.

Manage operational budgets and ensure efficient resource allocation.

Provide strategic guidance and support to the company's leadership team.

Qualifications:

Experienced in Indian public service.

Preferably Retired Indian Army Officer (Colonel or above) or retired IAS officer (Secretary or above) with a distinguished career in the Indian government.

Proven track record of leading and managing large teams in a complex and fast-paced environment.

Deep understanding of the Indian business landscape, regulatory environment, and government processes.

Excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.

Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Proficiency in English and Hindi is a must. Kannada will be plus.
