This role is responsible for leading and managing a team of finance professionals to oversee all aspects of the finance department, including accounting, tax, treasury, audit, and operational processes. The role will also be responsible for leading the convergence of IND AS from IGAAP, implementation of IFC, integration of NetSuite, and MIS reporting.
Detailed Responsibilities and Expectations:
- Develop and implement financial policies and procedures that are aligned with the company's overall business strategy.
- Identify and implement areas for improvement in the finance department, such as process automation, streamlining of workflows, and cost reduction.
- Work closely with other departments to ensure that the finance department is meeting their needs, such as providing timely and accurate financial reporting, and supporting strategic initiatives.
- Manage the budget and forecasting process for the finance department, including setting annual budgets, tracking spending, and developing financial projections.
- Oversee the performance of the finance team and provide them with coaching and development to help them achieve their goals and grow in their careers.
Internal and external finance, tax, operational processes, and audit management:
- Oversee all aspects of the accounting process, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and payroll, to ensure that financial transactions are accurately and timely recorded and reported.
- Lead in filing all required tax returns, including corporate income tax, sales tax, and payroll taxes, in compliance with all applicable laws and regulations along with the team and consultants.
- Manage the company's treasury functions, including cash flow management, investment management, and debt management, to ensure that the company has adequate liquidity and meets its financial obligations.
- Oversee all internal and external audits, including working with auditors to prepare for audits and to resolve any audit findings.
- Work with the auditors to ensure that the company's financial statements are accurate and compliant with all applicable regulations.
- Convergence of IND AS from IGAAP, implementation of IFC, integration of NetSuite, and MIS restructuring:
- Lead the convergence of the company's financial statements from Indian GAAP to IND AS, including developing a project plan, managing the implementation process, and training the finance team on the new accounting standards.
- Implement the IFC's Performance Standards for Financial Institutions, including developing the necessary policies and procedures, and training the finance team on the new requirements.
- Integrate the company's financial systems with NetSuite, including developing a project plan, managing the implementation process, and testing the new system.
- Reporting and restructuring the company's MIS system to improve efficiency and reporting, including developing new reports, dashboards, and visualizations.
Technical Skills:
- Chartered Accountant (CA) with 4-6 years of experience post qualification.
- Experience in managing a team of finance professionals.
- Strong accounting, tax, and treasury knowledge.
- Experience with IND AS, IFC, NetSuite, and MIS systems is preferred.
