Role and Responsibilities
Role We are seeking an experienced collections manager to lead our efforts to reduce unpaid debt and minimize potential revenue loss. In this role, you will:
- Monitor collections staff and oversee all debt-recovery procedures
- Negotiate payment arrangements with clients or write off debt as needed
- Develop, document, and implement collection strategies that have high success rates using the latest technology to automate the work
- Generate reports on account balances, aging, and other key metrics to identify trends and areas of improvement
- Resolve issues with clients and team members courteously, efficiently, and proactively
Candidate Qualifications Our ideal candidate has the following qualifications:
- Extensive experience in collections management, with a proven track record of success in recovering unpaid debt
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Familiarity with collection laws and regulations, as well as best practices in the collections industry
- Ability to work independently, think creatively, and find innovative solutions to complex problems
- Experience with collections software and other relevant tools
- A Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, or a related field
