Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Manager of Infrastructure and operation services-India for our Global Corporate Services (GCS) IT staff in infrastructure and operations (I&O) in India to lead and oversee a team of skilled professionals providing comprehensive IT infrastructure support. The Manager of IT Infrastructure Services will have a strong background in managing staff with diverse expertise in helpdesk services, desktop management, system administration, networking and VoIP administration, and DevOps engineering. This role is pivotal in ensuring seamless support for our IT infrastructure to enhance our organization's regional growth and 24x7 global operations. This role reports to the Head of IT - Asia, and collaborates across Milliman's technical groups to set and achieve goals, objectives, service level agreements, and metrcis.
Primary Duties & Responsibilities:
- Team Leadership: lead and manage a diverse team of GCS IT professionals. Provide mentorship, guidance and performance management to foster a high-performing and collaborative team environment. Hire and train GCS IT staff prepare GCS IT staff schedules to maintain proper coverage and support. Develop recommendations for future investments to ensure delivery objectives are met with growing organization. Determine and lead team projects.
- Infrastructure Management: oversee the management and maintenance of GCS IT and regional infrastructure assets, including networks, on-premise, cloud, virtual or physical servers. Ensure high availability, reliability, and scalability to meet buiness needs.
- Helpdesk and Desktop Support: regulate and coordinate helpdesk activities and desktop support operations. Ensure timely resolution to technical issues and excellent end-user support services. Establish and monitor SLAs to maintain a high level of customer satisfaction. Maintain healthy relationships with stakeholders.
- System Administration: supervise effective administration of GCS IT and regional systems and data to maintain integrity, security and efficient access for authorized users, as well as implementation of backup and recovery strategies to protect critical data. Oversee end-user account provisioning/de-provisioning, proper access and authentication operations.
- Network and VoIP Services: guarantee optimal performance of the WAN and LAN, the network configuration, and proper troubleshooting. Make sure voice systems are seamless for internal and external comunications determining effectual voice quality, call routing and conferencing/meeting solutions. Knowledge of industry-standard firewall and VPN solutions.
- DevOps Engineering: guarantee collaboration across DevOps staff for automation. Implement best practices for continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD).
- Regional and Global Services: collaborate with cross-functional teams to align infrastructure services with regional and global business requirements. Ensure compliance with regulatory and security standards across geographies.
Required Skills & Attributes:
- Overall, 15 years of progressive experience for helpdesk, systems, networks, scripting and automation with at least 10 years of proven experience in managing an IT team and related environment.
- Strong leadership and management skills to lead and motivate IT teams. The ability to set goals, provide guidance, and monitor progress.
- Strong understanding of network infrastructure, protocols, securiy and compliance regulations.
- Knowledge of virtualization technologies, such as VMware or Hyper-V.
- Competence in IT monitoring and management tools (e.g., Nagios, SolarWinds).
- Strong knowledge of providing diverse IT services to remote locations.
- Familiarity with security standards and compliance regulations.
- Solid understanding of regional and global infrastructure services and best practices.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to interact with colleagues, end-users, cross-functional teams and leadership for effective tean leadership and stakeholder engagement.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills with attention to detail.
- Experience in the management of IT infrastructure in a multinational organization is a plus.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science/information technology or other related degree.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., CCNA, CompTIA, ITIL, AWS, Azure) are a plus
