Job description
We are looking for a Wood Layout / Carpentry Supervisor for one of our clients with the following details:
Location: Chessy, France
Start Date: ASAP
Contract Duration: 6 months in CIDC at MPHI & in CDIC at the client's site after the 6 months
Qualification and Experience Required:
- You have a minimum of Bac +2 training and with theoretical and technical knowledge related to the layout package.
- You have training or specialization in wood carpentry and have solid theoretical and technical knowledge.
- You have at least 7 years' experience as a works supervisor or works engineer on the wood joinery lot (marquetry, woodwork with inlaid decorations, etc.)
- You have been able to test your knowledge and skills on varied and complex projects with high requirements, in companies or project management: luxury hotels, luxury boutiques, luxury real estate complexes, conference rooms, performance halls, etc.
- Your technical skills allow you to analyse situations and propose solutions (reading plans, knowledge of DTUs, CCTP, specifications, technical support to companies, anticipations, etc.).
- You have good communication skills (oral: meeting facilitation, relationship with different interlocutors, and writing: writing minutes).
- You have good interpersonal skills, you know how to work in a team and adapt to a dynamic professional environment.
Responsibilities:
- Report to the Main Works Manager of all topics on the loaded lots.
- Participate in the tendering process for these lots (review of the ELDs, on-site visit with the candidates, analysis of the offers, negotiation meetings with the companies).
- Ensure compliance with the technical and qualitative specifications of the work carried out by these companies.
- Monitor the activities of the site on a daily basis, coordinate the activities of these companies and write a daily activity report.
- Animate the weekly Studies/Works meeting for the lots concerned, write the corresponding report.
- Follow the technical documents provided to Doc Control (drawings, data sheets, samples, calculation notes).
- Draw up lists of work still to be done for the Material Completion Report and ensure that they are lifted.
- Contribute to the different phases of the project's construction, whether in terms of planning, cost, methodology, organization or logistics.
- Ensure the coordination and provide the necessary assistance on site with the interventions of the Show and the Ride.
