Overview
We are seeking a highly experienced and visionary Chief Medical Officer (CMO) to lead clinical development efforts in the field of cancer vaccines. As a pioneering biotech company dedicated to advancing cancer immunotherapy, the biotech is committed to developing innovative cancer vaccine solutions to address unmet medical needs and improve patient outcomes.
Reporting directly to the CEO, the CMO will play a pivotal role in shaping our company's clinical strategy, overseeing clinical trials, and driving the development of novel cancer vaccine therapies from early-phase clinical studies through regulatory approval and commercialization.
Qualifications
- Medical Doctor (M.D.) or equivalent degree with board certification in Oncology, Immunology, or related field. Additional advanced degree (e.g., Ph.D., M.B.A.) is a plus
- Extensive experience (minimum 10 years) in clinical development and medical affairs within the biopharmaceutical industry, with a proven track record of successfully leading clinical programs from early-stage development through regulatory approval and commercialization
- Deep understanding of cancer immunotherapy, vaccine biology, and clinical trial design, with specific expertise in the development of cancer vaccine therapies preferred
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate cross-functional teams, foster a culture of innovation and collaboration, and drive results in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage and influence internal and external stakeholders, including KOLs, regulatory authorities, and industry partners
- Proven strategic thinking and decision-making abilities, with a demonstrated capacity to translate scientific and clinical insights into actionable clinical development plans and regulatory strategies
- Prior experience in oncology drug development and familiarity with regulatory requirements (FDA, EMA, etc.) for clinical trials and marketing authorization applications
