IT Operations Manager
VCLS is a leading consultancy firm in the life sciences industry, providing specialized services to pharmaceutical, biotechnology, and medical device companies. We are currently seeking an experienced and highly motivated IT Operations Manager to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing the IT operations at VCLS, ensuring the smooth functioning of our IT infrastructure and services.
Responsibilities
- Manage the day-to-day operations of the IT department, including the performance and availability of systems, networks, and applications
- Develop and implement IT policies, procedures, and best practices to ensure security, efficiency, and reliability
- Collaborate with other departments to understand and address their IT needs and requirements
- Lead and manage IT projects, ensuring their successful completion within scope, budget, and timeline
- Oversee the maintenance and support of hardware, software, and network infrastructure
- Implement and maintain IT service management processes, such as incident, problem, and change management
- Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends and technologies, and make recommendations for continuous improvement
- Manage vendor relationships and contracts, ensuring service level agreements are met
- Manage a team of IT professionals, providing guidance, mentorship, and performance evaluations
- Ensure compliance with relevant regulatory requirements, such as data protection and security standards
- Prepare and manage the IT budget, monitoring expenses and ensuring cost-effectiveness
Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field
- Proven experience as an IT Operations Manager or similar role
- Strong knowledge of IT infrastructure, systems, and networks. (Microsoft environment)
- Hands-on experience with IT service management processes and tools
- Experience in managing IT projects from initiation to completion
- Excellent leadership and managerial skills
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities
- Ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels
- Knowledge of relevant industry standards and regulations
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
