Job Summary
What will be your role?
Being part of the Field Devices team, the role entails:
- Interacting with customers, suppliers, engineers, contractors, sales managers…etc.
- Provide sales quotations and supporting documents.
- Manage and enhance existing business relationships.
- Focus on continues learning and skills development.
Key Tasks & Responsibilities (Essential Functions)
What will you do?
- Promote & sell Distech Controls Field Devices offerings, selling of Field Devices to primary decision makers.
- Build partnering relationships with clients; Actively listen, probe, and identify concerns, understand each customer's business, and demonstrate technical expertise to develop credibility, loyalty, and trust.
- Conduct customer presentations and attend customer interaction events and meetings, to support the sales team’s members.
- Provide technical updates and briefing to the sales staff on the latest Field Devices products and industry trends.
- Achieve team targets of total quoted projects, and speed of response KPIs…etc.
- Manage the common department tools and coordinate the activities with other team member(s).
- Maintain a sales department Vendor/customer/contractor database.
- Assist in drafting a carrier development plan and provide a training plan.
- Adhere to all Distech Controls/Acuity Brands policies and procedures.
- Perform other duties as assigned by Management.
Skills and Minimum Experience Required
Which candidate profile are we looking for?
- University degree or Technical Certificate in HVAC/Controls or any other relevant experience in building automation
- Minimum of 2 years experience in inside sales, technical field support, or customer facing role in HVAC or Building Automation
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Proactive, autonomous and demonstrates leadership.
- Resourceful and capable of handling multiple simultaneous projects & priorities
Mandatory:
- French and English Language
- Valid passport and willingness to travel to France/Canada.
Assets:
- Knowledge BMS, Field Devices, and Communication protocols such as BACnet, Echelon LonWorks, Modbus, KNX
- Knowledge of Access Control, CCTV and Lighting Systems.
