CAIRDAC is a French company founded in 2016, locatednear Paris, bringing together experts in the field of cardiac rhythm management (CRM) and the piezoelectric technology to design and develop the firstpacemaker incorporating a revolutionary energy harvesting module capable of powering the device with no energy limitation.
The company employs 26persons, with very mature scientific and expert's senior management as well as experienced and talented engineer and technical professionals with strong Medical Devices background.
Job Summary
The Electronic Engineer reports directly to the Development Director. The Electronic Engineer will develop the embedded electronical hardware of the implant. He will work closely with sub-contractors and suppliers to ensure the compliance with requirements and the robustness of the design.
PrimaryResponsibilities :
- Design of the electronics of the Class III medical device with ultra-low power consumption.
- Design, develop and maintain embedded software for an implantable medical device.
- Participate actively in the development of requirements, specifications, block diagrams, schematics, ASIC, CPU, simulations (where applicable), assembly drawings, bill of materials and material costing.
- Utilize electronic design tools such as schematic capture and ASIC/VHDL tools. Review and implement design for test (DFT) objectives.
- Prepare engineering specifications for purchases. Work with sub-contractors on PCB layout, manufacturing, and other design/test activities.
- Determine design feasibility, evaluate and select optimum design alternatives.
- Passive components selection based on their reliability and packaging technology.
- Detailed firmware feature design, firmware development and testing to verify device requirements.
- Contribute to the creation of a robust set of documentation to demonstrate that products are safe, effective, and compliant with relevant standards i.e. ISO 13485, EN 62304, ISO 27001.
- Write and execute unit test plans for firmwares.
The Electronic Engineer will BE located in Antony (92). Qualifications :
- Master's degree in electronic engineering or equivalent (highly experienced technician possible).
- Minimum 10 years relevant experience, in electronic design and embedded software
Competencies :
- Proficiency in C development
- SPICE analog circuit simulation
- PCB layout design and chips packaging technology
- Demonstrated team working and autonoy.
- Demonstrated strong oral and written communication skills.
- Agility to work efficiently and adapt in fast-moving, high growth, start-up environment.
- Professional proficiency in English (written and spoken).
