What you can expect from us:
We offer you an exciting work and project environment in the R&D IT Infrastructure department within Siemens AG.
You will be part of a dynamic global team and help design, expand, ensure and continuously optimize the DevOps system landscape of our global development department.
As a Senior DevOps Engineer m/f/d you will be responsible for the conception and implementation of DevOps environments (e.g. CI/CD) with Azure DevOps to optimize and automate the working methods in product definition and product creation.
What part will you play?- First and foremost, you will design and develop build, release and deployment pipelines as the basis for Continuous Integration (CI) and Continuous Delivery (CD)
- Additionally, you will use the latest technologies and tools to continuously improve and automate system operation with a focus on PowerShell, Bash, Python, Ansible, Elastic Search and Kibana
- You will also manage SaaS solutions, in particular the connection to Microsoft Entra ID
- You will also be responsible for the design and administration of
-a centrally managed build farm
- a container-based R&D infrastructure
-a VMware vSphere landscape
-Network topologies
- You will also be monitoring to identify problems at an early stage and ensure the availability of the R&D system landscape
- Lastly, you will advise our development teams on the establishment and application of DevOps environments
What you need to make real what matters.
- You have a master's degree in (business/technical) computer science or a comparable qualification and many years of professional experience as a DevOps Engineer
- You also have a DevOps mindset and a passion for automation and "infrastructure as code"
- You have many years of practical experience in agile software development, the dynamic provision of services or from an operation characterized by DevOps methods
- This also includes experience with the conceptualization and implementation of DevOps environments (e.g. CI/CD) with Azure DevOps and JFrog Artifactory and the automation of operational IT processes
- You have already gained extensive experience in the configuration and operation of Windows/Linux systems and VMWare vSphere landscapes and are familiar with container virtualization
- You have advanced knowledge of programming script languages such as:
- Powershell
- Bash
- Python
- You are already familiar with network topology (network analysis, network security, network segments)
- You have a quick grasp of things and strong analytical skills, which you use to solve your tasks in a targeted manner, and you are a team player with good communication skills
- You can confidently communicate in English and ideally also in German and are willing to learn something new every day
