Prime Engineering is a consultancy firm specializing in engineering and project management.

Founded in 2013, we provide technical assistance to a wide range of partners, including project owners (MOA), project managers (MOE), and general contractors (EG), helping them realize their projects.

Meeting Peak Workload or Activity Demands : assisting our partners face a surge in workload or activity, ensuring projects stay on track even during demanding periods.

Providing Technical Expertise : we offer technical expertise to address our partners' specific needs, ensuring the successful execution of their projects.

Prime Engineering operates across several major sectors :

Oil & Gas : We are involved in projects related to the oil and gas industry, including exploration, production, transportation, and processing of oil and gas resources.

Energy : our projects are related to energy production and distribution, including renewable energy sources.

Infrastructure and Transportation : our expertise extends to infrastructure and transportation projects, covering areas such as roads, bridges, airports, and more.

Construction and Public Works (BTP) : actively engaged in construction and civil engineering projects, including building construction, roadworks, and related infrastructure development, as well as railways.

Job Description :

1. Definition : As an Electrical Procurement Engineer you will play a pivotal role in our procurement and supply chain operations. Your primary responsibilities will include compiling Requests for Quotation (RFQs), sending RFQs to potential suppliers, placing purchase orders, and ensuring the expeditious delivery of purchase orders.

2. Associated Responsibilities :

Ensure that the equipment, parts, materials, and plants within your purview are procured and delivered at the best prices while adhering to delivery schedules and technical requirements.

When applicable, coordinate electrical procurement and design activities on specific projects, serving as a key point of contact for external relations.

3. Main Interactions :

Internal :

Collaborate closely with EIC procurement and design managers.

Work alongside the Electrical Procurement and Design Manager.

Engage with Tender/Project Managers to meet project procurement needs.

Collaborate with Design Engineers, Process Engineers, QC Managers, and Transport Managers.

Liaise with Contract Managers, Planning Engineers, and the Accounting Department.

Coordinate with Site Managers/Site Supervisors.

External :

Interact with suppliers to secure the best procurement deals.

Collaborate with inspectors to ensure quality control.

When necessary, engage with Consortium Partners (if applicable) and Clients.

4. Permanent Roles :

Technical Responsibilities :

Issue technical specifications.

Develop inspection and test plans in coordination with QC Managers.

Select and evaluate suppliers.

Compile the required documents for RFQs and issue RFQs.

Conduct negotiations and issue purchase orders.

Expedite order deliveries.

Perform factory inspections as required.

Provide assistance to the Tender Department during the tender phase.

Technical Responsibilities for Electrical Referent (Project Basis) :

Coordinate electrical procurement and design activities.

Lead monthly coordination meetings with Electrical Design Managers and Electrical Procurement Engineers, working closely with Planning Engineers.

Serve as the key point of contact for discussions with Project Managers, Clients, and Consortium Partners.

Safety and Quality :

Implement safety and quality procedures relevant to procurement activities. Experience :

Minimum of 2 years of experience in procurement activities for EPC (Engineering, Procurement, and Construction) contracts.

Competences :

Strong technical background in electrical engineering or a related field.

Exceptional organizational skills.

Excellent communication skills.

Proficiency in the English language.

Expertise in procurement processes.

Strong negotiation skills and basic contractual knowledge.

(*) Ability to effectively manage teams (for those in the role of Electrical Referent).

Fluent English and French language
