At Lyreco, we offer more than just a job, a career! Our Data & Application Strategy Team is looking for a talented and ambitious new Engineering manager F/M to join our team in HQ.

Lyreco is now on the journey upgrading and digitalizing its application landscape to achieve a bold strategy to expand its business offering and attract new customers. As part of this ambition, we are going to extend our capabilities in area of Pricing and Commercial Tools by creating and refreshing in house applications as well as finding best solution on the market. As Engineering Manager, you are going to not only leverage the brilliant talent around you but also forge the path forward to enable a suite systems to accomplish top priority business goals for Lyreco. The right candidate for this role will have the unique combination of abilities: Technical, great with people and share business acumen. You will partner directly with the commercial leaders to also support the business roadmap to achieve ambitious business goals.

YOUR MISSIONS:

• Manage a growing team of developers and analysts. Currently the team is 12 and work is organized in 3 areas.
• Partner business leaders to provide the vision for the growth of the systems.
• Establish a solid management support structure for the team to alleviate stress and administrative work so the team can focus on what they do best – develop software.
• Work closely key business stakeholders, primarily Product Owners in all functions, to both understand their priorities, but also challenge them to ensure business value is created from the work done by the development team.
• Create and foster a highly effective environment in the development squad, which also includes scrum masters, system analysts.
• Work with each team member to create and monitor key performance and growth plans, including career path plan that includes training, new challenges and coaching needs.

YOUR PROFILE:

• Minimum 2 years’ experience of managing multiple teams and in IT applications and solutions development
• Confident leader that can push back and say ‘no’ when needed.
• Experience to determine best solution for business and IT
• Proven ability to be highly engaged with team members, actively listening, and addressing concerns before it becomes a problem.
• Experience in managing technically strong developers, even if you don’t have these technical skills.
• Experience in managing complex projects or workstreams inside larger programs.
• Experience and awareness of software development methodologies, especially agile.
• Leadership, teambuilding, and mentoring skills
• Great communication skills – discussing and consulting problems with team members, senior leaders and product owners.
• Able to work in cross geographical teams (primarily in Europe)

Nice to have:

• Experience within system integration domain.
• Experience with delivery of solution architecture.
• Experience with Devops.
• Experience with working with cloud: Azure/AWS/Google Cloud.
