The headquarters of the AXA Group (GIE AXA) brings together our corporate activities. It provides guidance and support to subsidiaries around the world, to ensure the coordination and monitoring of the Group's global strategy, the application of its standards, the consistency of commercial approaches and the sharing of best practices. Team Presentation
The Communication, Brand and Sustainable Development Department has about 80 employees divided into 6 departments:
- Communication & Engagement,
- Press Relations, Reputation, and Individual Shareholder & Employee Communications,
- Brand,
- Media, Analytics and Perspectives,
- Sustainable Development,
- AXA Research Fund.
The position is to be filled within the Media Relations, Reputation and Individual and Employee Shareholder Communications team, which consists of around ten people. The successful candidate will work in the Reputation team.
Main mission
The incumbent is responsible for communicating the AXA Group's message to the general and specialized press and opinion leaders in the company's main markets, on all subjects of importance to the Group as a whole.
Through clear communications, the key messages of which he helps to define, he explains the company's vision and strategy on a daily basis in order to strengthen understanding of AXA's role and ambition, while positioning the Group as a true leader on industry topics and societal issues.
Main tasks
Media relations :
- Explain and defend AXA's vision and strategy to journalists on a daily basis, and extend the Group's influence in the media.
- Communicate the AXA Group's message to the general and specialized press, both French and international, and to opinion leaders in the company's main markets. Contribute to defining the main messages on the company's vision and strategy to strengthen understanding of AXA's role and ambition, while positioning the Group as a true leader on industry topics.
- Reinforce the external visibility of AXA and its main spokespersons in the press.
- Prepare interviews and discussions with Group executives. Organize media training sessions. Advise, guide and coach spokespersons on their media messages and activities. Create opportunities for AXA in the media, and ensure media coverage of events.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of AXA's global media relations strategy.
- Participate in the definition and implementation of the Group's press strategy with a view to reinforcing its visibility and image. Prepare in writing, in French and English, the Group's regular announcements, in terms of both content and form, in liaison with the other teams working on the project (finance, CEO Office, HR, legal, marketing, public affairs, and operational entities...).
- Protect AXA's image and manage media crises affecting the Group.
- Continuously monitor media coverage (strategic intelligence, traditional and online media, etc.) of AXA in the main countries where the Group operates. Anticipate sensitive issues and prepare communications materials in advance. Contribute to the proper management of reputation risk in the press, in liaison with the reputation team. Leading and coordinating press communications on cross-functional and/or shared issues in conjunction with Group entities in France and worldwide.
- Contribute to positioning the AXA Group as a thought leader on industry topics.
- Identify topics on which the AXA Group could leverage its expertise and share its knowledge (risk management, pandemics, longevity, climate, etc.). Identify internal themes that can be promoted externally. Conduct targeted communications operations, in conjunction with other teams, on key socio-economic issues to make AXA's position heard.
Technical skills
- Solid economic, financial and political culture.
- Good knowledge and understanding of the Group's financial statements.
- Fluent written and spoken English and French, with excellent writing skills in at least one of the two languages.

Experience
You have a university degree (+5), not necessarily in communications, but you will be seriously considered for economics, finance, or political science. You have a strong interest in external communications in general, in economic, financial and societal issues and in new technologies.
