Job Overview

TE Connectivity's metrology controller's main mission is to measure and master the use of measuring equipment, metrology and statistical software to interpret and exploit measurement results in accordance with standards and specifications. He/she works closely with the Engineering teams and production sites in EMEA. Tyco Electronics France is looking for a candidate for a 12-month fixed-term contract. The position reports to the Metrology Manager. The job is based on site in Pontoise (Val d'Oise).

What your background should look like:

Put into practice the measurement process adapted to the control of each specification mentioned on a drawing (compliance with the dimensioning on the drawing).
Understand and interpret input and output data.
Integrate the requirements of geometric tolerancing standards (ISO-GPS Geometric Specification with Modifiers).
Define the margin of error for each test, in line with the customer's requirements, taking into account the type and capabilities of the measuring equipment available.
Program and measure on tactile or optical coordinate measuring machines.
Transmit measurement reports to the client, analyze the causes of non-quality on the basis of the report and, if necessary, make recommendations.
Carry out specific measurements as part of new projects, series production monitoring and customer requalifications: measurements and analyses by tomodensitometry. 
Contribute to the improvement of our dimensional control procedures.

Profile: 

Graduate Physical Measurements preferred

Computer skills (Excel, Minitab)
Knowledge of plan reading (ISO-GPS standard)
Ability to solve problems and make proposals.
Knowledge of technical and quality documentation.
Sense of service
Expertise in measuring equipment.
Good spoken English.

Compensation
•    Competitive base salary commensurate with experience: $xxx – xxx (subject to change dependent on physical location)

Timeline
TE Connectivity recruits on campus between September and March for New Grad (FT), Rotational, Internship and Co-op positions beginning in May. Once you have applied to a position, your resume and application will be reviewed. If you are selected to move to the next step in the application process, you will be contacted by a recruiter. Once you accept an offer, the onboarding process will begin in January for interns who have committed to offers in the fall semester and upon acceptance for interns who have committed to offers in the spring semester.
