We offer an exciting Master1 internship opportunity for enthusiasts in artificial intelligence and astrophysics. The selected candidate will work on the application of advanced AI algorithms to spectrophotometric data obtained from the Near Infrared Spectrometer and Photometer (NISP) instrument on the European Space Agency's Euclid space telescope. The main focus of the internship will be on using Python programming skills to analyze and interpret the data to better understand the behavior of the NISP instrument.
Responsibilities:
Implement and optimize AI algorithms for the analysis of Euclid space telescope's spectrophotometric data.
Collaborate with the research team to understand the intricacies of the NISP instrument and its observational data.
Develop Python scripts and code to preprocess, analyze, and visualize the data.
Contribute to the documentation of developed algorithms and methodologies.
Participate in team meetings and discussions to share progress and insights.
Proficiency in Python is mandatory, and experience in machine learning would be highly appreciated.
