Job Description :
- Definition :
As an Electrical Lead Manager at [Company Name], you will BE responsible for overseeing the purchasing and engineering activities of a group consisting of Procurement Engineers, Design Engineers, and Draftsmen. Your role is crucial in ensuring the efficient execution of electrical procurement and design projects.
2. Associated Responsibilities :
Act as a Procurement Engineer when required to support the team's needs.
Act as an Electrical Design Engineer when necessary to contribute to project success.
Perform basic and detailed electrical design activities during the Tender Phase and
Execution Phase.
Ensure that the equipment, parts, materials, and plants within your responsibilities are procured and delivered at the best prices while meeting delivery schedules and technical requirements.
3. Main Interactions :
Internal :
Collaborate closely with EIC (Engineering, Procurement, and Construction) Design and Procurement Managers.
Work alongside Electrical Design and Procurement Engineers.
Engage with Procurement Director and Tender/Operation Director.
Interact with colleagues in the Technical Department.
Collaborate with Tender/Project Managers, Site Managers/Site Supervisors, and the
Accounting Department.
Coordinate with Planning Managers, Contract Managers, and QC Managers.
External :
Engage with suppliers to optimize procurement strategies.
Foster relationships with Clients, Consortium Partners, and Inspectors.
4. Permanent Roles :
Technical Responsibilities :
Plan and oversee purchasing and design activities.
Validate RFQs sent by Procurement Engineers.
Validate drawings and design documents submitted by Electrical Design Engineers.
Sign purchase orders to secure necessary resources.
Ensure that expediting is carried out efficiently.
Define, specify, and execute factory inspections in coordination with QC Managers.
Issue offer documents during the Tender Phase.
Define the budget for the electrical scope during the Tender Phase.
Management Responsibilities :
Plan the resources needed to execute procurement and design activities effectively.
Coordinate and lead Procurement Engineers, Design Engineers, and Draftsmen.
Conduct annual evaluations of Procurement Engineers, Design Engineers, and
Draftsmen.
Cost Management :
Optimize resource costs to maximize efficiency.
Safety and Quality :
Implement safety and quality procedures relevant to procurement and design activities. Minimum of 5 years of experience in electrical procurement and design activities for EPC contracts.
Competences :
Strong technical expertise in electrical engineering or related fields.
Exceptional organizational skills.
Excellent communication and team management abilities.
Fluent English language and French.
Demonstrated leadership skills.
