OUR BUSINESS SYSTEM ANALYST TEAM

Do you like to interact with various business teams and think about efficient software solutions to achieve business goals and make great projects alive? Join a team made of passionate people based in Paris and Amsterdam who are responsible for analyzing, designing and implementing information systems that meet our business and technologies requirements to ensure the reliability and performance of our trading systems.

YOUR RESPONSABILITIES

You will be at the interface with the business teams, technical and project teams, partners, vendors, to drive value, and design innovative solutions.
You will use your talent to develop your expertise and strong cross-departmental relationships to advise business on various improvements. As a functional/technical system specialist, you will actively work on multiple projects with various scrum teams and be a key contributor to agile processes.

Your main missions will consist of the following activities

• Collect and analyse the internal and external needs regarding systems in close cooperation with various EPEX SPOT departments such as Market Operations and IT
• Critically evaluate the information gathered from multiple sources, reconcile conflicts, decompose high-level information into details, abstract up from low-level and/or applied information to a more general understanding, and determine solution ideas from the requirements
• Contribute to solution architecture by defining the functional requirements and stages of implementation and consequently laying the foundations for software development projects
• Provide accurate specifications to our internal and external software providers and identify areas for improvement and optimization
• Support and guide our internal and external software providers to ensure efficient development
• Ensure the alignment between the content of specifications and the business need by insisting on the relationship with the user within the specification phase
• Coach the test team on systems by providing knowledge transfer, advising on the test strategy and participating in the defect review sessions
• Coach the market operations team on systems by providing training, advising on the go-live approach and assisting in the resolution of issues

· You explain complex concepts simply and concisely to ensure a good understanding by the different stakeholders

YOUR EXPERIENCE

· You have a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
· You have 3-5 years working experience in the field of (Business) System Analysis including information technology knowledge
· You have interest in software development: you are able to read a source code but not necessary to write it
