Robert Half is currently recruiting a Finance Manager for an international group active in the chemical industry. Based in the UK, our client operates from 18 countries worldwide. The company supplies customers in over 80 countries. The group controlling department is in Bornem. The main accountabilities for this job include: Develop detailed strategic plans and operational roadmaps supporting the Benelux region. Revise operational roadmaps to achieve short and long-term KPIs. Ensure the full deployment of a customer-focused business model aligned with the company's vision. Support group activities needed. Prepare monthly cash flow statements adhering to the guidelines, including profit and loss accounts, balance sheets, asset sheets, and other month-end specifications. Handle bookkeeping and reconciliations. Manage cash and online banking. Process accounts payable, invoicing, and oversee accounts receivables. Maintain the fixed asset register, including monthly depreciations and establishment of fixed assets. Prepare and file VAT returns. Manage preparation, bookkeeping, and filing of payroll, social security, and relevant income taxes. Develop and maintain written procedures and guidelines related to the finance area of Benelux. Budgeting & preparing annual accounts and reports. Preparing for and handling external and internal audits. Contacting and reporting to authorities. Managing supplier contracts. Overseeing HR activities, including payroll, serving as the go-to person for all staff, compensation and benefits, recruitment and selection, talent management, and other people-related matters. Handling miscellaneous ad hoc tasks and projects within finance and bookkeeping. The requested qualifications for this job include: You obtain a master's degree in finance and/or Business Administration. You have demonstrated experience as a Finance Manager with 5-10 years of proven finance management in industrial, chemical, or retail sectors. You have knowledge of Belgian and Dutch rules and regulations. You have diplomatic and empathetic skills to manage teams accustomed to previous single-owner structures with loyal, long-serving employees unaccustomed to change. You are fluent in Dutch and English; proficiency in French is a definite plus. You have experience with SAP ECC, SAP ECC 6.0 EHP5, or D365 Dynamics systems. You are natural leader with a strong personality, capable of inspiring confidence and building strong relationships. Team-oriented, with the ability to create high-performing teams. Results-oriented, structured, consistently meeting deadlines. Impactful, motivational, skilled in delegation, and effective at selling ideas. Focused on productivity, quality, and cost-consciousness.
