Senior Accountant |English Dutch | 5+ years' experience | International company | Familial environment|1101962 Hays is actively looking for a Senior Accountant in Machelen: Fluency in English and Dutch Minimum 5 years' experience in a similar position International company Family atmosphere Growth opportunities International company active in the distribution of industrial products (produced outside of Belgium). As Senior Accountant, you're responsible for the monthly, quarterly and annual closing processes as well as the follow-up on closing agenda/calendar. You follow up on customer rebates, provisions and invoices and are the key contact for customers' credit insurance, internally and with insurance company. You assist with the preparation of the monthly, quarterly and annual group reporting and work on it together with the finance manager. You prepare/make ad hoc analysis and group reporting, participate in statutory and group audits. You make sure the submission of VAT reporting is done on time, respecting the deadline. You work on other projects as well on the side. The ideal candidate has a Bachelor or Masters' degree in Accounting, Business Administration or Finance and at least 5 years' experience in a Senior Accountant position, ideally in the sales/distribution sector. You speak English fluently and have a professional level of Dutch, knowledge of French is an asset. You have a good level of Excel and first experience with SAP, Power BI is a plus. You are a team player and also are able to work autonomously, you have an analytical mindset.
