Job description
The Buyer is responsible for sourcing and developing supplier relationships to negotiate and buy a defined scope of goods, materials and services to meet the Group operational requirements : supplier selection, tendering and cost estimating.
The spend scope is around 100 to 500 million Euros (per raw material) and there is no team to manage.
Main roles :
- Responsible for ensuring optimal supplier performance and price.
- Develop and maintain strategic supplier relationships, business model and manage the development of contracts, contractual relationships and contract management to deliver continuous improvement in delivery of goods and services by the supply base.
- Determine new business opportunities based on the market research on raw material and mine industry. Demonstrable experience of leading a purchasing function with a proven track record within the expertise field requested : in strategic purchasing leadership delivering effective purchasing strategies, policies, processes and systems
- Experience in raw material management (RMI).
- 5-10 years of experience.
