Within the Direction Ferment and Fermentation, the Data translator senior technologist is :
- The expert in charge of ferment and fermentation data management and valorization, transforming the raw fermentation data from lab and pilot into an asset enabling efficiency, speed, innovation and accuracy in the field of ferment design, propagation and fermentations.
- Integrating emerging technological such as A.I. and models to de-average complexity in the field of ferment design and fermentation for health and nutrition purpose (bioplasticity).
- Contribute to ferment R&I strategy in collaboration with other Advanced Technology experts, Advanced Health and Science expert and external experts.
- Handle synergies with other R&I functions in digital, modelling, informatics and database management.

Main responsabilities
- Lead projects or work packages in the field of expertise related to ferment/fermentation.
- Set up and implement the digital and modelling strategy in the field of ferment and fermentation for the team in coordination with the digital team and the team leaders.
- Define tools and approaches to ensure the relevancy of data management in the field of biological system.
- Lead projects in bioprocess digital and modelling related to strains and culture design, fermentation including within specific tailored fermentation (biomass, bioactives).
- Key spoc to digital and IT teams across sites and fermentation lab and pilot
- Lead the mindset of digital to leverage empiric approaches.
- In collaboration with the strain collection team, is able to integrate individual physiological and molecular dimensions (genomics, proteomics, metabolomics) to design and validate ecosystems from high throughput to landing fermented application.
- Is able to integrate data from analytical, MNS and processes in an digital approach.
- Assess FTO and protect results.
- Propose and set-up external collaboration
- Ensure scouting in the field of expertise, inspire.
- Ensure consistency of ferment/fermentation data cross sites.
- Dimension of the position
- Large interaction with culture suppliers and partners (public, private)
- Interaction with R&I cross categories (SN, Dairy, Plant based)
- Interaction with digital and IT, MNS, C&P, R&I, Quality internal functions. About you

Competencies required
- PhD in Microbiology or Fermentation with knowledge in modeling of applied microbiology systems.
- 10 years of experience in the field of microbiology, culture, fermentation.
- Knowledge in the field of fermentation modelling with yeast or bacteria ecosystems with A.I. or hybrid systems is a plus.
- Speaking some French is a plus

- Modelling and digital in applied microbiology,
