Role: Senior Data/ETL Developer
Location: 100% Remote
Visa: USC GC only
Rate: $6065/hr on c2c
Client: Confidential
duration: 12 Month
PLEASE NOTE: This is a 12 month contracttohire opening and needs to meet Client fulltime conversion policies. Those dependent on a work permit sponsor now or anytime in the future (ie H1B OPT CPT etc) do not meet Client requirements for this opening.

We are looking to staff senior Data/ETL developers to help us build a cloud native ETL pipeline that will be leveraged by the applications that our customers use to manage benefits and products.
This position will start off as primarily developing with expectations that 8090% of the time will be spent developing and designing solutions written using the CloverDX ETL tool. As the project matures the expectation is that this developer will mentor and help upskill existing Sun Life employees to move from primarily legacy ETL tooling to Clover running in a cloud environment.

Sun Life Financial is a large financial and insurance company that is starting a technology modernization project. We are looking to staff senior Data/ETL developers to help us build a cloud native ETL pipeline that will be leveraged by the applications that our customers use to manage benefits and products.

Responsibilities & Duties:
A candidate joining our team will be expected to write clean and efficient code for our solutions. All commits into our code base should include functioning code and unit tests.
Candidates must be able to work autonomously. Asking questions when ambiguous situations arise self starting and innovative in their work.
We value each developers contributions and expect our team members to be engaged and challenge ideas when appropriate.
Candidates must also be comfortable in presenting solutions to a wider team and mentoring junior developers as well as senior developers learning new skills.
Qualifications and Skills:
Candidates should have
35 years of experience working with an ETL tool such as CloverDX Informatica Talend etc..
Proficiency with SQL
Experience in developing cloud based solutions on AWS
Good Communication Skills
Good Mentoring Skills
Motivation to build great software
Desired:
Advanced knowledge of SQL
Expertise in SQL and/or ETL performance optimization
Familiarity with modern web architecture APIs microservices
Snowflake experience or knowledge of enterprise data warehousing
