Job description
Amazon is seeking a Senior Finance Analyst to support a fast-growing logistic activity (last miles) within our European Operations Finance team in France. The candidate will work closely with operations leaders, technology teams and international finance teams. The person in this role will be directly responsible for decision support, controllership and finance for the largest cost area of the business. The role will involve ad-hoc analysis and special projects requiring detailed modeling to support the decision-making of senior leadership. The growth of the business and the increasing complexity driven by new launches and services make this role an exciting, interesting and challenging proposition. Key Responsibilities: o Business partnering with the DSP Manager and DSP team to improve the business performance and optimize costs o Demonstrable relevant finance/accounting experience o Ability to think both analytically and strategically – to go beyond the numbers and to think logically about underlying business issues. o Demonstrated ability to build and manage financial models for business forecasting, variance analysis and problem solving o Advanced Excel user o Fluent in English o BA/BS degree in Finance, Accounting, Business and/or similar discipline with analytical bias o Expertise with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles o Experience working with large-scale data mining and reporting tools (i.e. SQL, MS Access, Essbase and/or Cognos) and other financial systems such (i.e. Oracle, SAP, Lawson, JD Edwards)
