HOURS: two positions; 29 hrs and 18 hrs per week. TueFri & MonWed Based in Camden Children s Centres

CURRENT ENHANCED DBS

ESSENTIAL KEY REQUIREMENTS:

1. Demonstrated a sixmonth track record of frontofhouse experience in a busy reception setting.

2. Possesses exceptional customer service skills.

3. Proficient in providing administrative support to a team.

4. Equipped with strong verbal and written communication abilities.

5. Exhibits a flexible and adaptable cando attitude.

The Administrative Assistant is an integral member of the team who plays a crucial role in ensuring the effective and professional delivery of established processes to support and enable a multiagency team in providing exceptional service to families. The primary objective of this position is to assist the Business Manager with highquality administrative support to facilitate the smooth functioning of the childrens centre locality and to undertake reception duties including offering a professional and warm welcome to all staff and visitors directing them to relevant activities and resources within the building signposting and promoting services and dealing with telephone and email queries.

In addition to providing administrative support to the Business Manager the Administrative Assistant will be responsible for leading key tasks ensuring that they are completed efficiently and accurately. They will be expected to work collaboratively as part of a team and use their own initiative to deal with daytoday issues. As part of a busy team the Administrative Assistant will need to possess excellent verbal and written communication skills and demonstrate the ability to resolve complex queries and challenging situations working with a range of individuals including children and vulnerable adults. They will also need to be proactive in their approach to tasks have excellent timekeeping skills and be dedicated to delivering an outstanding service to the people of Camden.

Qualifications

Ability to work accurately efficiently methodically and in a timely manner demonstrating effective self management organisation and administrative skills.

Ability to work in a team and in partnership with various stakeholders and professional advisors and maintain good client relations.

Effective verbal and written communication skills; ability to communicate with a wide range of individuals including young people

Flexible Approach To Work

Good timekeeping

Ability to use Microsoft packages in particular Word Excel and Outlook

Working in a customerfocussed environment with reception experience in a busy location.

Competence in using database spreadsheet and word processing packages

Experience of inputting updating and maintaining computerised and manual filing/recording systems

Experience of dealing with members of the public both over the telephone and facetoface contact

Requirements

CURRENT ENHANCED DBS

Knowledge & Skills Requirements Possess a BTEC or equivalent qualification in a Business, Computing, or Administrative field. Demonstrate strong proficiency in utilising IT and Management Information Systems (MIS) solutions, specifically Microsoft Office software. Possess prior MIS, Business, or Administrative experience. Possess experience or the necessary skills to supervise staff in the short term effectively. Possess experience with ONE and/or SIMS. Possess strong written communication skills and experience in disseminating information to relevant parties. Possess experience or the necessary skills to take minutes when required accurately. Possess excellent communication skills. Possess experience in working under pressure to meet tight deadlines. Fluency in English and Welsh is essential.
