Working in a self-managed team concept, the Construction Manager will BE a part of the ENGIE Capital Projects team at Georgetown University. This role is responsible for the construction phase of expansion, lifecycle, and energy conservation projects. The Construction Manager is responsible for construction logistics, planning and safety.

The Construction Manager will provide guidance and leadership during the construction phase and when applicable BE the subcontractors' main point of contact for construction-related tasks, issues, and progress.

This is a CONTRACT POSITION.

What you'll do :
- Ensure contractors are performing construction management and safety procedures according to ENGIE standards and contractual requirements for projects that will involve utility distribution systems (steam, condensate, heating hot water, chilled water, natural gas, metering, medium voltage electric), equipment replacements (chillers, boilers, pumps, instrumentation and controls) and in building systems (HVAC, chilled water, heating hot water, steam, electric, metering, instrumentation and controls)
- Provide field input to assist with tracking and reporting of schedule and budget performance during construction. Keep contractors on or ahead of schedule
- Provide logistics and constructability (sequencing) reviews, comments, and resolution during construction
- Coordinate and submit for approval project Utility System Outage Requests with ENGIE Operations and university staff where necessary
- Oversee and perform QA/QC supervision on the commissioning inspections performed in the field as well as any special inspections (e.g. concrete pours)
- Coordinate with the ENGIE Project Manager to facilitate project execution (e.g., Communications, Transportation & Traffic Management, and Emergency Management)
- Lead the punchlist process and assist the Project Manager with ENGIE and Client Closeout responsibilities
- Carry out other duties as assigned

What you bring :
- Bachelors of Science in Construction Management or in related field, or bachelor's degree equivalency with practical experience and knowledge of relevant technical systems (work experience considered in lieu of specific degree)
- A minimum of five (5) years related experience and a preference for those with a strong understanding of utility distribution systems
- Project Management Professional and Certified Construction Manager (CCM) license is preferred
- Hard work ethic, self-starter, can-do attitude
- Knowledge of modern management tools in continuous improvement is an asset
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Applications
- Experience with scheduling software such as Microsoft Project or Primavera P6 is a plus
- Experience with Procore

Additional Information/Conditions :
- Must BE eligible to work for any U.S. employer without the need for sponsorship now or in the future
- Must possess a valid U.S. state issued driver's license and clear driving record
- Ability to visit and monitor multiple active construction sites
- Must BE willing and able to comply with ENGIE's policy with respect to COVID vaccination and testing
- Must BE willing and able to comply with all ENGIE ethics and safety policies
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee maybe exposed to inclement weather conditions
- Ability to meet highest attendance requirements
- Ability to communicate effectively, both written and verbally with skills in report writing and correspondence
- Ability to handle multiple assignments on a timely basis with a high degree of accuracy
- Ability to use company computer
- Could involve some lifting / up to 35 lb
