Post-Doctoral Fellowship - Environmental Chemistry

IMPMC

Location

Paris 5e | France

Job description

Sorbonne Université (SU), Paris - 18 months  - Starting before end of December  2018

We are seeking a motivated and qualified Post-Doctoral researcher in environmental chemistry for performing key laboratory experiments on innovative catalytic reactions for degrading persistent organic pollutants. The Post-Doctoral research project will focus on the analysis of degradation kinetics of high-priority pollutants at the surface of geo-inspired nanoparticles using in-situ FTIR-ATR at the solid-liquid interface.  Molecular-level and properties of the nano-substrates will also be monitored using synchrotron-based XAS and WAXS-PDF.
Thanks to our recent discovery of a new degradation pathway without strong oxidizing agents, this project will represent an essential step forward in the design of future environmentally-friendly processes for soil and water cleaning.

PhD degree in Geochemistry, Catalysis, Materials Science or related fields would be a benefit.

Previous experience with spectroscopic characterization of inorganic materials is also desirable.

Applications including motivation letter and CV including publication list should be sent to :
