Need 23 years of PM experience as a Transportation Project Manager.
The first week.. they will be in the office all 5 days and the position is hybrid after that .. 3 days a week in the office.
In regards to the Carrier Transition Project: The manager has advised we are moving from one carrier to another. We have to perform the systematic switch then work with our PDCs to perform the physical switch.
 
  Description 
 Clients Parts has an exciting opportunity for a Transportation Project Manager at our headquarters in Lisle IL. The Transportation Project Manager will report into the Sr. Manager of Transportation & Quality and oversee the transportation Parts Distribution network. In this position you will be responsible for managing overseeing carrier transition projects providing support to our Parts Distribution Centers and determining route optimization. 
 
 
 
  Responsibilities include but are not limited to: 
 Managing relationships with dealers carriers Parts Distribution Centers (PDCs) and our ThirdParty Logistic partner (Ryder). 
 Partner with our PDCs to quickly implement new carriers and resolve process issues 
 Oversee the coordination and metrics of carriers to identify issues and help find corrective actions 
 Collaborate with staff members to formulate and implement transportationrelated revenue goals and objectives 
 Complying with transportationrelated policies safety regulations managing Hazmat guidelines union contracts and government regulations. 
 Assist in developing the transportation strategy for the organization. 
 Motivating developing and providing leadership to your team 
 Foster an atmosphere of continuous improvement and a LEAN operating culture. 
 
 
 
 
 
  Desired Skills: 
 Managing carrier relations and developing new relationships 
 Management or experience leading monitoring performance coaching and developing employees 
 Experience with heavy auto / automotive transportation and logistics 
 Working with data and providing analytics 
 Relentless and thorough followup skills 
 Work well under pressure 
 Ability to multitask 
 Strong communication skills (written and verbal)
 Strong Organization Skills 
 Comfortable working with internal and external customers 
 Efficient in Microsoft Office (Excel Word PowerPoint Access)
 At least 4 years of supply chain or transportation experience 
 OR 
 Bachelors degree 
 At least 2 years of supply chain transportation 
 OR 
 Masters degree
