What You Can Expect

The Contractor for Battery Contract Manager will negotiate the termination of these contracts with customers or resolve any dispute involved, while in the meantime administer and manage the same contracts as well as customer relationship before the contracts are terminated. A successful candidate will BE an experienced negotiator, well-rounded experienced professional, quick learner, self-starter, highly motivated with a strong sense of ownership, possess strong communication and commercial skills, as well as the ability to navigate large and complex organizations and to work successfully in a cross-functional setting which requires frequent collaboration with other functions such as Legal, Accounting, Legal, Asset Management, etc.
- Negotiate Contract termination
- Acquire a good understanding of the contractual terms and conditions of each contract assigned and/or history and dispute involved, including ENGIE's remaining obligations toward the customer and liability CAP
- Formulate a negotiation strategy and assess a reasonable settlement amount
- Reach out to the customer to initiate the negotiation to terminate the contract or to resolve a dispute
- Negotiate the terms and conditions in a way to protect the company's interest and in the meantime also fair and reasonable to the customer
- Follow up with the customer as much as required to get attention and resolution
- Keep track of status and progress of each negotiation
- Draft and finalize the termination agreement with legal support
- Have the termination agreement executed and hand over to the system removal team if system removal is required
- Support the system removal team in addressing customer's questions and requests and resolving issues during system removal stage
- Contract & Customer Relationship Management
- Before each assigned contract is terminated, administer the contract and manage the customer relationship, in collaboration with Asset Management, Accounting, and/or O&M
- Respond to customer requests and resolve contractual and/or commercial issues according to each party's contractual obligations

What You'll Bring
- Bachelor degree in Business, Finance, Law, Engineering or related discipline - or comparable technical competency through demonstrated work experience
- Minimum of 10 years' experience in a similar function, or a combination of similar functions, in the electricity industry, retail electricity preferred
- Basic to good understanding of the electricity market (retail and/or wholesale)
- Prior experience with sales, customer interfacing, contract management, and/or other commercial function
