Job description
We have multiple positions open to complete our IT team for a major Sport event in 2024. Part-time and full-time positions are available.
The IT Specialist is aware of the IT needs and equipment required by a Sport Event and ensures that they are delivered to the required sports venues. The IT Specialist undertakes all tasks that impact site IT and works with the site's technology team to plan for a successful and timely implementation. Drawing on its IT expertise and project management skills, the IT Specialist maintains a project schedule that covers IT planning, implementation, operation and site dismantling activities, assists with knowledge transfer, creates space layouts, presentations and any documentation requested by the Sport event management.
Senior IT Specialist roles require candidates who are skilled in project management and are experienced in creating and managing project schedules.
For operational IT Specialist roles, the focus is on someone who is used to addressing IT risks and issues that can occur during a Sport event. They should have extensive knowledge of hardware, software, networking, and peripherals and be able to install and fix IT equipment at the Sport Venue such as computers, printers, Wi-Fi devices, etc.
This role also requires to be able to work in a multicultural environment and with flexible hours. In addition, it is desirable to have an excellent ability to manage client-oriented projects through effective communication, interpersonal skills, and stakeholder management. The ideal IT Specialist is sensitive to environmental, social and cultural sustainability.
