Job Description:

Roles & Responsibilities of DevOps Infra Lead

A skilled and experienced Infrastructure Lead the ideal candidate will have a strong background in managing IT infrastructure implementing best practices and providing strategic leadership to ensure the stability and efficiency of our systems.

Responsibilities:

1. Infrastructure Planning and Strategy:
   • Develop and implement strategic plans for the organizations IT infrastructure.
   • Align infrastructure decisions with business goals and objectives.
2. Team Leadership:
   • Lead and manage the infrastructure team including hiring training and performance management.
   • Foster a collaborative and highperformance culture within the team.
3. Infrastructure Design:
   • Design and architect the organizations IT infrastructure to meet current and future needs.
   • Ensure scalability security and efficiency in infrastructure design.
4. Deployment and Implementation:
   • Oversee the deployment and implementation of infrastructure components including servers networking and storage.
   • Ensure the timely and successful execution of infrastructure projects.
5. Cloud Management:
   • Manage and optimize cloud infrastructure if applicable (e.g. AWS Azure Google Cloud).
   • Implement best practices for cloud resource provisioning and cost optimization.
6. Vendor Management:
   • Manage relationships with infrastructurerelated vendors and service providers.
   • Evaluate and select vendors based on performance costeffectiveness and alignment with organizational goals.
7. Budgeting and Cost Management:
   • Develop and manage budgets for IT infrastructure projects and operations.
   • Implement costeffective solutions and optimize infrastructure spending.
8. Security and Compliance:
   • Implement and oversee security measures for IT infrastructure.
   • Ensure compliance with industry standards regulations and organizational security policies.
9. Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity:
   • Develop and maintain disaster recovery and business continuity plans for IT infrastructure.
   • Conduct regular testing and updates to ensure preparedness.
10. Performance Monitoring and Optimization:
    • Implement monitoring solutions to track the performance and health of infrastructure components.
    • Set up proactive measures for performance optimization.
11. Incident Response and Troubleshooting:
    • Establish incident response processes for infrastructurerelated issues.
    • Lead troubleshooting efforts and conduct root cause analysis for incidents.
12. Change Management:
    • Implement change management processes for infrastructure changes and updates.
    • Ensure proper documentation and communication for all changes.
13. Documentation:
    • Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for infrastructure configurations processes and best practices.
    • Ensure documentation is accessible to relevant teams.
14. Stakeholder Communication:
    • Maintain open communication with stakeholders including executive leadership and other department heads.
    • Collaborate with stakeholders to gather infrastructure requirements and provide regular updates.
15. Technology Evaluation and Adoption:
    • Evaluate new technologies and assess their potential impact on the organizations infrastructure.
    • Lead the adoption of innovative technologies to improve infrastructure capabilities.
16. Continuous Improvement:
    • Identify opportunities for process optimization and efficiency improvements within the infrastructure.
    • Establish feedback loops to gather insights from teams and stakeholders for ongoing improvement.

Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science Information Technology or a related field.
• 810 years of experience in infrastructure management or a related role.
• Proven leadership experience with a track record of managing and mentoring teams.
• Strong understanding of IT infrastructure design and implementation.
• Strong and Proven experience in managing and maintaining Windows and Linux OS patching and overall administration.
• Setting up and maintaining Physical server and VDI setups.
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS Azure Google Cloud) and infrastructure as code.
• Indepth knowledge of security best practices and compliance requirements.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Effective problemsolving and decisionmaking abilities.
