Job description
Our client is a famous Bank located in Kirchberg in Luxembourg. They are currently looking for an Operationnal assistant for a temorary mission of 6 months. The candidate work with the Disbursement Division which is responsible for managing the disbursement related activities across various geographical areas under either OPS, GLO or PMM responsibility. The Operational Assistant in the Disbursement Unit 3 supports the disbursement officers to prepare the loan disbursements and equity cashflow instructions. The Operational Assistant follows closely the pipeline for incoming requests and prepares the calculations needed to verify the client requests. Also, he prepares the Conditions Precedent documentation in a specific IT tool and maintain the respective mailboxes. The Operational Assistant works under the supervision of the Head of Disbursement Unit - under the authority of the Head of Disbursement Division and in close cooperation with all unit members (officers and assistants), Client Facing Officers, borrowers and with other departments of the Bank (notably with Legal, Projects and FI Directorates). The candidate provides operational support at the various stages of the lending process, disbursement and equities transactions, and ensures respect of deadlines in compliance with the procedures and with the terms of loan approvals. He handles borrowers' enquiries about disbursements, payment notices, loan balances, liaising with other directorates (FI, JU, PJ), as appropriate. He assists the team members in the preparation of CPs in the specific IT tool, and interface closely with- Client Facing Officers and other services to obtain information related to the processing of disbursements. He is an interface with borrowers and/or intermediary institutions to ensure the receipt of mandatory information needed for disbursement purposes under the supervision of senior team members. He prepares research on specific matters in support of operations, setting up BO queries, producing statistics and regular daily reports. Under the supervision of senior team members support the preparation of indicative rate requests, activities related to equity eg. repayments and cash flow reconciliations. He cooperates with the other team members of the Division; when appropriate train new colleagues on Bank procedures and processes, contribute to a good working atmosphere within the Division and the Department in order to facilitate the timely implementation of tasks, smooth flow of information and achievement of objectives. The ideal candidate has a secondary level education, complemented with a 2-year certification in a relevant field (economics, accounting, legal, business administration) or secondary level education with equally qualified. He has at least 3 years relevant professional experience, preferably in an operational area. He has knowledge of the features of the EIB lending products would be an advantage. He is experience in handling legal documentation. He is easy Adaptor to new IT applications supporting lending operations at the EIB (Serapis, GED) and their. He can use reporting tools (Business Objects). He has excellent knowledge of English. Knowledge of other EU languages would be an advantage. He has experience in a relevant field.
