Fonction : Post-Doctoral Research Visit

About the research centre or Inria department

The Inria center at the University of Bordeaux is one of the nine Inria centers in France and has about twenty research teams.. The Inria centre is a major and recognized player in the field of digital sciences. It is at the heart of a rich R&D and innovation ecosystem: highly innovative SMEs, large industrial groups, competitiveness clusters, research and higher education players, laboratories of excellence, technological research institute...

Context

The postdoc is funded by the PEPR PQ-TLS. whose goal is to integrate post-quantum cryptography on web navigators.

We have a months financing for a postdoc to work on isogeny based cryptography. The goal of this postdoc would be to look at the interaction between pairings and isogenies.

Assignment

The research program will be to study isogeny based cryptosystems, and notably the interaction with pairings

A more detailed research program is as follow :
— Find algorithms to evaluate the Weil-Cartier pairing directly, without going back to the Weil
pairing ;
— Find algorithms to evaluate infinitesimal pairings and isogenies, using Dieudonné theory
and De Rham cohomology ;

— Study the arithmetic of the biextension associated to a fixed isogeny ;
— Investigate the use of pairings to climb up in isogeny volcanoes ;
— Compute class polynomial by defofrmation of isogenies ;

_ Extend the radical isogeny formulas from [CDHV22] to higher dimension ;
— Simplify the dimension 1 radical formulas by using the cubical torsor structure on an elliptic
curve ;
