The role is based at Arnesse a historic manor house in the picturesque Uckermark district one and a half hours outside of Berlin. Restored and furnished in collaboration with artists designers and craftsmen the neogothic architecture houses 15 guest rooms a restaurant serving farmtotable cuisine a historical gymnasium and a plantfilled solarium for private dining and events. The property is set amid expansive gardens on a private lake and features an outdoor pool. Opening in summer 2024 it will provide an extraordinary experience as a countryside retreat for good food abundant nature and holistic health. Arnesse has been featured as a Financial Times 2024 hotel opening of the year and promises to become a unique addition to the Berlin regions hospitality landscape.
We are looking for an experienced and dynamic Restaurant Manager to lead our team and ensure the smooth and efficient operation of our establishment. The ideal candidate has a passion for the hospitality industry exceptional leadership skills and a proven track record of delivering outstanding guest experiences. They will be responsible for overseeing daily operations managing staff maintaining high standards and ensuring overall profitability. The Restaurant Manager reports to the General Manager and plays a crucial role in maintaining the highest standards of hospitality that define Arnesse.
Tasks
- Ensure exceptional guest service within the restaurant manage the restaurants ambiance innovate the menu to align with guest preferences and efficiently handle reservations.
- Actively seek and analyze guest feedback using it to implement improvements in service and food quality.
- Resolve any guest issues to ensure that the guests leave with a positive perception of the restaurant.
- Recruit manage and schedule staff providing training and regular feedback.
- Implement strategies to enhance profitability and take on budgeting and cost controlling.
- Ensure consistent and highquality food and service by implementing and maintaining quality control measures including regular inspections staff training and adherence to standard operating procedures.
- Plan daily operations and workflows between service and kitchen in close cooperation with the frontofhouse team.
Requirements
- 3 years of progressive experience in gastronomy and/or hospitality.
- At least 3 years of experience in a managerial position in gastronomy.
- Fluent in German and English both spoken and written to effectively communicate with guests and team members.
- Ideally proficiency in a third language to facilitate communication with a diverse range of international guests.
- Indepth knowledge of wines and beverages.
- Proven leadership and team management skills.
- Exceptional communication and customer service orientation.
