LOCATION AND DATE
Permanent contract to be filled as soon as possible.
Position ideally based at the headquarters within the Research and Development team of the Bel Group in Suresnes (92).
Travel required in France and abroad.
MAIN MISSIONS
The Packaging Development Manager role within the RID organization aligned with Bel Group's strategic direction entails leading and supporting packaging transformation activities within the Packaging Excellence Center. Responsibilities include identifying, testing, and implementing new technological routes and materials to meet environmental expectations and consumer consumption changes, while adhering to packaging CSR policies and regulations.
The manager will also serve as a liaison between local development teams and relay CSR best practices, new regulations, and Group commitments. Collaboration with marketing teams to establish a long-term innovation pipeline and identify development opportunities is a key aspect of the role.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
- Detect and analyse material innovations and changes in consumption usages that will revolutionize our packaging offering.
- Manage innovation projects always in connection with teams in platforms, local teams in factories, and marketing teams.
- Design, prioritize, and decide on the most relevant technical solutions for the project, taking into account:
- The eco-design approach defined by the Bel Group
- Each brand's identity and user/consumer experiences
- Constraints and opportunities related to equipment, in collaboration with internal/external partners (engineering, factories, packaging suppliers, packaging machinery, subcontractors, etc.)
- Innovation pipeline and Time to Market for each project
- Mobilize expertise and resources needs to achieve the pursued objectives with the goal of accelerating development timelines.
- Design and organize test plans and monitor their implementation on the ground (Bel factories or subcontractors).
- Define test proofs and suitable control methods to test the envisioned technical solutions.
- Provide support to brand teams on identified technical subjects and on the proper implementation of the CSR roadmap.
- Lead the pack community on CSR and Innovation topics.
