Job description
AESC stands proudly at the forefront of global battery technology, recognized as a premier lithium-ion battery manufacturer with operational bases spanning across Japan, the United Kingdom, the United States, and China. AESC has over 4,000 employees and 10 production plants in Japan, the U.S., the U.K., China, and France. For the past 12 years, AESC has produced high-performance, extended range batteries for more than 950,000 electric vehicles in 44 countries, achieving a record of “zero critical battery malfunction.” Embarking on an exciting journey, AESC is now establishing new battery gigafactories in both France and the U.K., presenting an exhilarating opportunity to become an indispensable part of Europe’s most significant and technologically advanced manufacturing ventures of recent times. Join AESC in pioneering the construction of never-before-seen gigafactories on a large scale and delve into the realm of emerging technologies to cater to Europe's exponentially growing electric vehicle market.
Purpose
AESC is looking to recruit technical specialists or experts in electrode manufacturing areas – mixing, coating, calendaring, slitting and laser cutting - to join our European Electrode Engineering team and play a crucial role in supporting the expansion of the battery manufacturing footprint in Europe. These roles report to the leadership for the electrode functional area and will focus on building the electrode manufacturing knowledge and driving engineering aspects of the gigafactories from startup and commissioning to full production capability. Activities to be carried out from remote and site-based locations, therefore flexibility to travel is essential.
The specialists and experts will initially join the core project team responsible for the Europe and UK battery plant launches supporting specific process areas of Electrode Manufacturing, integrating into activity phases throughout the buildout and commissioning of the new gigafactories. Acts as a knowledge resource person on equipment specific and process engineering to the functional engineering teams in their respective regions.
Responsibilities
The specialists and experts will be key contributors towards building a competent technical team responsible for defining, implementing, and continuously improving the AESC execution to production systems for electrode manufacturing in Europe. This position will be called upon as for technical expertise and innovation for their respective process specialty. We want to maintain the highest level of operational excellence and be at the forefront of electrode manufacturing engineering processes.
