As a Matelot at Les Bateaux Belmond, A Belmond boat, you ensure smooth operations of our boats and assisting the Pilot by delivering unforgettable cruises to our guests . In this role, you’re a proud custodian of the infrastructure and equipment that enables your team to deliver a luxury experience and provide optimal service. Primary Responsibilities Include:
· Maintaining the cleanliness and tidiness of the boat on a daily basis
· Working as a team with the Pilot and assist him especially during navigation
· Ensuring that all boat equipment are maintained in good working order and reporting any maintenance issues
Requirements
What You Bring:
· Strong interest in the river navigation environment
· Hold appropriate certifications or licenses to practice as a Matelot
· Friendly and approachable attitude; ability to communication clearly, listen attentively, and work well within a team
· Hospitality experience advantageous, preferably in a luxury environment.
· Fluency in English, both written and verbal, is essential.
