Job description
Mission Context :
Based in Louveciennes, the client designs, and manufactures, highly performant insulated and heated pipelines systems for the Oil & Gas industry.
For one of its customers, the client is providing a cryogenic pipelines solution for the LNG industry. The client is looking for an experienced and motivated individual to fill the role of Project HSE Manager, inside its dynamic Project team in delivering this project. The individual is expected to BE operational immediately. The role will BE based in ITP Project offices in Louveciennes, France.
Description of the Function :
HSE Manager is required to work across all departments of the project, acquiring information about departmental practices and their adherence to health and safety policy. HSE Manager is also required to motivate and direct team members towards project goals, whilst ensuring that relevant safety procedures are followed.
Other functional requirement include :
Implementation and coordination of HSE activities on the project, during the execution phase :
- Writing of Project HSE documentation,
- Management of HSE observations / investigations linked to the project.
- Owner of the compliance of these activities with the company's Safe System of Work, project requirements and local requirements, until delivery of the product.
HSE representative of the company front of the customer : participation to weekly meetings, or site visits. Organization and execution of project and corporate HSE audits, at the request of the QHSE Director.
Zero incident culture of the project rests with the Project HSE Manager who has the authority to manage HSE assurance and control on each phase of the project.
The Project HSE Manager is to ensure that the Project operations and all related inspections are executed in accordance with ITP's Procedures, Project Specifications, meeting all targets set in terms of HSE and Quality, while achieving all work tasks. The Project HSE Manager shall ensure that all sets of targets are met at Subcontractor's premises.
Key Responsibilities :
- Developing Project Safety Management Policy.
- Continually maintain the highest level of HSE awareness, knowledge, and preparedness across the project organization.
- Ensure compliance with all HSE codes and standards.
- Ensure compliance with contract HSE requirements.
- Audit subcontractor HSE Policy and follow up improvement activities.
- Utilize HSE tools like Toolbox Talks (TBTs), Job Safety Analyses (JSA), Job Safety Cards (JSCs), and others to monitor and promote project members' awareness.
- Identify and define the safety responsibilities of all employees.
- Conduct risk assessments to detect potential hazards and plan precautionary measures.
- Ensure that workplace tools and equipment meet industry standards.
- Manage Safety officers at the Client fabrication yard for bends production and material preparation.
- Investigate incidents, establish the causes, and recommend preventive action against a recurrence.
- Prepares monthly HSE reports and make presentations to Project Manager and Client.
Reporting Level :
- The Project HSE Manager reports to the Project Manager.
Location :
- The HSE Manager position is based at Louveciennes in the Yvelines 78 (France).
- Travel in France and Europe at Subcontractor facilities. Job Requirements :
Project Data :
- Bachelor's in safety management, or relevant field experience;
- Minimum 10 years of experience as an HSE Manager on EPC projects.
- Ability to independently produce reports and develop relevant policies.
- Good knowledge of data analysis and risk assessment.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills.
- Exceptional interpersonal abilities.
- Outstanding attention to detail and observation ability.
- Proficiency in both English and French speaking required.
- Engineering / Procurement / Pre-fabrication and Site Assistance.
- Duration is 12 months starting in January of 2024
