Job description
Working in very close relation with the Fund Manager of several Real Estate pan European AIFs and Club Deals, the Fund Controller will be: Primarily, in charge of key corporate and financial matters (financial controlling, cash management, accounting and third-party financing monitoring). Secondly, involved directly in some key fund management matters, such as performance analysis, business modelling, property valuation, investors reporting and tax structuring. The Fund Controller will be granted autonomy with regards to his/her primary tasks and will be strongly connected to the Fund Management, Portfolio Management and Asset Management activities (asset acquisitions/disposals, portfolio management strategy, fundraising, deployment of the asset management recommendations, presentations to the Senior Management). This is a unique opportunity to a career evolution towards a Fund Manager position, with the decision-making process being performed by the Luxembourg AIFM. Financial controlling, analysis & cash management Monitor the production of statutory and consolidated accounts within the deadline with accounting teams (outsourced), other internal and external stakeholders (Asset Managers, Portfolio Managers, external appraisers etc…); Ensure asset & property management activity is properly reflected in the financial statements; Lead audit process and make sure reports are issued according to deadlines and distributed to the different stakeholders (investors, banks…); Critical review and analysis of Funds' NAV; Review and analysis of realized performance compared to Business Plans; Monitoring of equity needs and preparation of capital calls; Calculation and preparation of distributions to investors; Execution of cash transfers and follow- up with banks. Corporate management & Compliance Ensure proper follow-up of legal & governance deadlines; Assist FM in the calculation of statutory ratio; Assist FM in preparation of regulatory reports (AIFM, CSSF, EMIR). Structuring, Financing & debt management Prepare bank reporting and ratios calculations; Execution of intragroup loans and interest payments; Ensure compliance of fund structure with latest structure memo. Strategy & performance Assist FM with the preparation & update of the Business Plans; Calculation of financial returns & fund KPIs; Calculation of performance analysis indicators: income return, capital return, total return & main performance drivers; Assist FM with the preparation of investment/divestment committees. Investors relations & Fund raising Assist FM with the preparation of the regular reports to investors; Assist FM & Sales teams with the preparation of key marketing documentation (Due Diligence, RFIs…). PROFILE Master's degree in finance / business administration or engineering school with a finance/business specialization. At least 5 years of professional experience. Previous experience within the finance team of a real estate asset manager/REIT or within an audit & advisory firm. Fluent in English. A strong command of German would be a distinct advantage.
