Job Description

The General Manager will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the company"s ATE and instrumentation organization in France, reporting to the Head of ATE Business Unit. This role requires a good understanding of the French culture, labor laws and organization leadership across a range of functions including operations, Finance, Business development and budget management. The incumbent will also spearhead people management initiatives and establish policies to be in adherence with local regulatory and compliance requirements. The ideal candidate should be a thoughtful leader and a confident decision-maker, fostering the development and productivity of our team while managing profitability.
The team in France is a very technical team of seasoned ATE and instrument developers developing systems, hardware and software used by some of the top Semiconductor manufacturers located in France, USA, and Asia.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day operations
• Control budgets and optimize expenses
• Ensure employees are motivated and productive
• Manage Employee safety, welfare, and compliance with local labor regulations
• Social operations management of CSE and implement CET
• Set policies and processes that comply with regulatory and certification requirements
• Ensure staff follow health and safety regulations
• Evaluate and improve operations and financial performance
• Establish and maintain organization KPI"s
• Prepare regular reports for upper management
• Strategic planning and execution of AOP

Indirect reports: Approx. 35

Requirements and Skills

• 5+ Years of proven work experience, in France, as a General Manager or similar executive role preferably in the engineering, electronic or Semiconductor industry
• French Citizenship is necessary, due to French DOD contract requirements
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities in English and French is a requirement for this position
• Knowledge of business processes and functions (finance, HR, procurement, operations etc.), with proficiency in financial management, budgeting, and strategic planning
• Strong knowledge of local labor law and employee representation process
• Strong organizational, leadership, decision-making, and problem-solving skills
• BSc/BA in Business, Engineering or relevant field required; MSc/MA is a plus. All candidates with an equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience will be considered
• Ability to work on-site with some flexibility
• Valid Passport and ability to travel. Currently no plans for this position to travel on a regular basis
• Valid driver license: job will require traveling locally (transportation allowance / reimbursement provided)
