Job Summary
We are seeking a Metering Engineer to lead a multidisciplinary organization with interface to technical business administration and support requirements for our plant metering systems. Your primary role will be to handle metering engineering aspects. This will include providing technical support and expertise for metering engineering including operation design and project development installing managing auditing and maintaining metering systems across multiple plant units. You will also be responsible for providing technical guidance on high priority metering systems issues
Responsibilities:
- Provide technical guidance support training and expertise to the facility metering team.
- Monitor the performance of instrumentation and metering systems.
- Assess the performance of metering and instrumentation and recommend improvements to optimize system performance.
- Develop and maintain lifecycle management activities for metering and instrumentation systems.
- Establish and implement auditing guidelines and conduct frequent audits of metering systems and instruments.
- Lead the development of new strategies and validate the feasibility of improving company productivity.
- Ensure that manufacturing knowledge is captured in the knowledge repository and drive continuous improvement through benchmarking and best practices.
- Conduct awareness sessions and lead technical exchanges and conferences.
- Serve as a subject matter expert in instrumentation and metering systems and contribute to troubleshooting activities.
Requirements:
- This role required candidate to permanently relocate at Dhahran Saudi Arabia.
- Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering Electronics Engineering Instrumentation and Control Engineering or an equivalent field is required.
- A minimum of 12 years of experience in metering systems within refining oil and gas plants or petrochemical industries is expected.
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills in the field of metering systems are essential.
- Familiarity with various field instrument types and their applications is necessary.
- Proficiency in relevant codes and standards in the oil and gas industry including API BS ISO ASME ANSI IEC ISA IEEE etc. is required.
- Working knowledge of oil/gasrelated plant processes is necessary for this role.
