PURPOSE AND OBJECTIVES

As Customer eXperience & Solutions (CXS) team, we develop products & solutions that enable digital transformation for our customers.

The CXS Development, Technology and Infrastructure team belongs to Customer Solution Support & Innovation (CSI) within the board area Product Engineering (PE).

As the thought leaders for Application Lifecycle Management, we develop the platform SAP Cloud ALM (Application Lifecycle Management) with applications and services to support the complete application lifecycle for all SAP solutions - from the discovery of SAP solutions, process design, configuration, extension, testing and deployment up to production.

SAP Cloud ALM is being built on the latest version of SAP Business Technology Platform and is an essential part to deliver the Integrated Enterprise Suite.

SAP Cloud ALM is based on Micro-services with Cloud Foundry (Java, Node). Our team is responsible of the event-driven communication between micro-services based on Apache Kafka. Joining our team, your mission will consist of building SAP Cloud ALM asynchronous communication infrastructure (micro-service, libraries and UI to administrate and monitor Kafka clusters).

EXPECTATIONS AND TASKS

By joining our team, you will BE responsible for development focusing on design, coding, testing, quality assurance of specific product features in a development team. You will thus have the opportunity to showcase your analytical and problem-solving skills on both new and existing code.

You will work with a team of experts in a collaborative and international environment where you'll BE able to share your experience but also develop new skills through cross-functional projects. This position will allow you to understand and grasp new concepts using various tools in Cloud Foundry, as well as comprehend the concepts of event-driven architecture with Apache Kafka in a Cloud Native environment. Finally, you will also have the opportunity to develop Java microservices, library and user interfaces (Full Stack).

EDUCATION, COMPETENCIES & WORK EXPERIENCE
- Master degree or equivalent education
- 4-6 years of programming experience
- Knowledge in Cloud Development, Cloud Foundry, Java, JavaScript, Angular
- Knowledge in DEVOPS, continuous integration and delivery would BE beneficial
- Knowledge in Kafka and UI Framework (like Angular/SAP UI5) will BE a strong advantage
- Experience in agile development practices (SCRUM) would BE beneficial
- Works independently, communicates clearly and strong team player
- Business English : Fluent
