Job description
Since 1859 the Pontifical North American College has served as Americas seminary in Rome. Roman Catholic dioceses send seminarians and student priests to study in one of our three main departments: The Seminary the Casa Santa Maria (graduate studies) or the Institute for Continuing Theological Education.
Job Responsibilities:
Planning designing building testing implementing and troubleshooting data warehouse systems.
Design databases and define tables columns indexes and other structural components.
Monitoring the performance of the data warehouse system for potential bottlenecks or other issues that could affect performance.
Creating reports from the data warehouse using tools such as SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) and Tableau.
Experience with ETL SQL Stored Procedures AWS Glue Python and related reporting tools.
Explaining how data warehouses work to nontechnical staff members.
Identifying opportunities for improvement in data quality or efficiency of processes within the warehouse.
Creating documentation of all steps taken to ensure that the data warehouse design is repeatable and can be implemented by other teams.
We are developing/maintaining relationships with vendors and client representatives.
Designing and building data models to support business processes including identifying data sources determining how the data should be formatted and estimating how much storage space will be required.
