Our Santena plant is part of our Comfort Driving Assistance Business Group , the market leader in parking and driving assistance components. Comfort and Driving Systems – Valeo ISC Italy is specialized in Switches, Human Machine Interface (HMI) control panels and displays. It offers added value in terms of service, flexibility, product know-how and in-depth knowledge of its customers to fully understand their needs and offer them optimal solutions.
As a Mechatronic Design Specialist in Valeo ISC Italy, in Santena, you will have the opportunity to work with the most powerful carmaker companies, in the electronics development working in an international and multicultural environment.
Responsabilities:
Focus to Customer A/B/C/D sample deliverable including DV/ PV (Design Validation / Project Validation).
Manages the robust design for Manufacturing/validation in line with the economic targets
Consolidates all necessary design reviews Make sure that Technical/Design Reviews with other networks are happening in a timely manner (Purchase, Industrial)
Represents the R&D Mechatronic function at the customer Interface with the Customer for the R&D Mechatronic subjects of the project, break down and cascade internally customer requests and needs
Reports and escalates to the Mechatronic Project manager (M-PM)
Contribute for the A/B/C/D scheduling and budgeting
Contributes to the identification of the needs in terms of resources, equipments, investments.
Establishes simple break down of the R&D activities to meet the customer delivery on time
Follows activities and spending of his scope to meet his allowed budget
Manages of all R&D Mechatronic contributors, dedicated or not assigning them the tasks/work packages needed
Tracks the progress on the tasks/work packages and follow a back on track plan to reach on time delivery if needed
She/He is also responsible to coordinate the activities needed to set up and discuss the DFMEA with he Customer.
As Electronic Specialist she/he is involved in others activities not only referred to a specific project, in particular it is requested to collaborate to solve issues related electronic components shortage and technical analysis to evaluate the alternatives that can be proposed.
Mandatory Skills required for the role
Electronic or Mechatronic Degree
2 years' experience in similar roles in structured companies involved in the automotive field.
Fluent English and good Italian B2
Nice to have: good knowledge of design FMEA.
