Job description
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced IT Solutions Delivery Specialist to join our M365 Governance Team and lead administration and governance capabilities in Power BI. As a key player in our IT department, you will mobilize your technical knowledge of Power BI and your ability to communicate to promote the development and adoption of new solutions within the company.
The ideal candidate is an experienced professional with a strong background in PowerBI, capable of proposing and implementing governance measures to reduce risks, limit shadow IT, and ensure platform performance and quality while animating the user community.
This role can be filled in any country in the EMEA region, where Itron is present.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure the adoption of the M365 platform, focusing on Power BI solutions.
- Promote the adoption of best practices in PowerBI by animating the community of advanced users and work closely with our IT DevOps team to ensure compliance with standards, while considering evolving needs.
- Own the change management process for Power BI: review, test, and approve upcoming changes to the platform. Communicate changes to the user community. Maintain strong vendor relationships and evaluate preview features.
- Define the Lifecycle Management process for PowerBI content. Includes how to move from sandbox to certified capacities with a set of criteria and after a security check.
- Define and enforce content-sharing policies. Partner with Information Security to define and enforce DLP policies to workspaces hosted in Premium capacities.
- Improve our operational efficiency and leverage automation by defining and automating processes to provision data sources, approve content sharing, assign licenses, etc..
- Maintain and develop the PowerBI Governance and Administration toolkit.
- Foster a culture of innovation, continuous improvement, and collaboration within the M365 Governance team.
Requirements :
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field; advanced degree is a plus.
- Experience with cloud platforms, particularly Azure.
- Solid understanding of Power BI Premium features and capabilities, including Power BI Administration, data modeling, capacity management, and AI-driven insights.
- Proven experience in reports design and build, and with development methodologies.
- Demonstrated ability to architect and design complex solutions.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Innovative, data-driven, and customer-focused.
- Knowledge of Power Apps and Power Automate are a bonus.
