We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated ESG Non-Financial Reporting and Carbon Accounting Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing and implementing our environmental, social, and governance (ESG) non-financial reporting initiatives, as well as overseeing our carbon accounting processes. You will play a crucial role in helping our organization measure, monitor, and report on our sustainability performance. Key Accountabilities
- Develop and implement strategies and frameworks for ESG non-financial reporting, ensuring compliance with relevant standards and regulations.
- Collect, analyse, and interpret data related to our environmental and social impacts, including carbon emissions, energy consumption, waste management, water usage, employee indicators, social initiatives, and community engagement.
- Collaborate with various internal and external stakeholders to gather data and ensure accurate reporting.
- Prepare and publish ESG reports, disclosing our sustainability performance to internal and external stakeholders.
- Stay up-to-date with emerging ESG reporting frameworks, guidelines, and best practices, and incorporate them into our reporting processes as appropriate.
- Support the business in regular external ESG audits and assessments to ensure data integrity and accuracy.
- Manage our carbon accounting processes, including calculating and tracking carbon emissions, setting reduction targets, and identifying opportunities for improvement.
- Identify and implement strategies to reduce our carbon footprint and improve overall sustainability performance.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement sustainability initiatives and projects.
- Provide training and guidance to employees on ESG reporting and sustainability practices.
Requirements - Bachelor's degree in environmental science, sustainability, accounting, or a related field. A master's degree is a plus.
- Proven experience in ESG non-financial reporting and carbon accounting, preferably in a corporate or consulting environment.
- Strong knowledge of ESG reporting frameworks, such as GRI, SASB, TCFD, and CDP.
- Familiarity with carbon accounting methodologies, such as GHG Protocol and ISO 14064.
- Proficiency in data collection, analysis, and reporting using relevant tools and software.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen eye for detail.
- Strong project management skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders.
- A passion for sustainability and a deep understanding of environmental and social issues.
- Professional certifications in sustainability reporting or carbon accounting are a plus.
