Maintenance Technician

- Shift Schedule; alternating early and late shift (or night); and alternating week and weekend work; for example 8 weeks in alternating early and late shift (from 6 am to 2 pm from 2 pm to 10 pm / if necessary night 10 pm to 6 am ) and then 8 weekends (Saturday from 6 am to 6 pm and Sunday from 8 am to 8 pm)

Position Summary: Our Maintenance team is looking for a Maintenance Technician. As a Maintenance Technician you ensure that the availability of all installations in the EDC Temse is guaranteed. You are also the first point of contact for problems with the critical installations on site. Together with the maintenance team you are responsible for solving all kinds of malfunctions on the different installations and a continuous improvement and renewal process of the assets in the EDC. You report to the Maintenance Planner/Team Leader.
Your Responsibilities You will be engaged to quickly repair malfunctions on our logistics installations (e.g. high bay cranes pallet elevators sorting equipment conveyor systems) to minimize downtime and work stoppages.
You handle calls from the control room report them and escalate if necessary.
Together with your colleagues you analyze interruptions and work out plans to avoid breakdowns in the future.
Together with your colleagues you are responsible for preventive maintenance on the logistics installations.
You participate in improvement projects to increase the availability safety and efficiency of the total installation by analyzing defects formulating proposals and carrying out adjustments (or having them carried out).
You will eventually become responsible for a number of installations; you will study their operation; you will ensure optimal management of spare parts; you will draw up maintenance plans; you will look for improvements.
You will transfer the knowledge you have acquired to your colleagues in a procedural way so that they too can use it in solving malfunctions and in preventive maintenance.
Your Profile You have a Bachelor's degree and/or equivalent through experience.
You have a good technical knowledge (electricity mechanics hydraulics pneumatics) and you are familiar with control techniques (e.g. PLC Siemens S7).
You are fluent in Dutch and English.
You like to work in a team but you can also work independently!
You communicate fluently with internal departments and suppliers.
You like to learn and have a handson mentality.
