HEAD OF INTERNATIONAL TREASURY - MERCHANT SERVICES (W/M)

The Opportunity

The Head of International Treasury plays a significant role within Worldline group treasury department by overseeing and providing support to local Treasury teams in various subsidiaries of the Merchant Services Business line, mainly (but not exclusively) in the EMEA region (Europe, Middle East and Africa), with possible additional assignments in the Americas and Asia.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities​
The Merchant Services (MS) business line is Worldline"s main business line accounting for c. 70% of Worldline"s revenue. It mainly consists of processing payments originated by more than 1.25 million merchants from various countries, mainly in the EMEA region. The funds associated with these payments are managed through dedicated Treasury teams under direct oversight of Worldline"s Group Treasurer.
The position is reporting directly to the Group Treasurer. It is mainly responsible for supervising 8 local treasury teams covering 60 Worldline entities belonging to the Merchant Services business line. It includes direct management of 8 local treasurers and indirect management of 20+ people in the corresponding teams, as well as supporting teams in the EMEA shared service center located in Romania.
He also serves as a treasury referent for, and provides guidance to Treasury correspondents, ie non specialized finance employees covering treasury functions in some Worldline entities with lower volume of business and no dedicated treasury team, mainly in the Merchant Services Business Line.
In additional, the Head of International Treasury is actively supporting projects of the finance function and the MS business line with some Treasury implications.
As a supervisor of all treasury activities in the MS entities, the Head of International Treasury is accountable for the performance and security of operational treasury processes of the relevant entities of the Merchant Services business line, including:

Cash management

• Monitoring Cash management processes (including corporate payments but excluding merchant payments/activities) to ensure the proper execution of payments to Worldline"s customers, as well as the implementation of Worldline policies
• Monitoring and supporting the free cash flow generation and the cash pooling/cash centralization of the corresponding entities
• Supporting the local teams on bank relations, KYC procedures, and bank accounts management and rationalization
• Providing support and advice on cash investment if applicable
• Optimization of bank fees and financial income and expense
• Supervising bank mandates approval and update through the dedicated Treasury workflow

FX exposure

• Monitoring the FX exposure, FX P&L and FX transactions of the relevant entities
• Supervising and providing support on FX management optimization and hedging, in accordance with Group policies

Overseeing and providing support to local teams on any other specific treasury and financing operations, such as Guarantees and cash pledge, Intercompany loans and borrowings, Dividends, Balance sheet structure optimization

Managing relevant local teams and employees, including

• steering common projects among local Treasurers
• direct support, supervision and assessment of local Treasury team leaders
• participation to recruitment processes of Treasury employees
• training and daily technical support of the Treasury teams
• implementing employees' retention strategies

Treasury processes integrity and improvement

• Monitoring the implementation of Group Treasury policies and processes
• Supporting local teams in the internal audit processes and audit points implementation
• Advising and implementing improvement in Treasury processes and organization to improve security and efficiency in the treasury function

In addition, the Head of International Treasury (Merchant Services Business Line) is closely and actively engaging in projects with treasury implication lead by Group Treasury, as well as other Group Finance departments, and the MS business line in EMEA as a strong business partner. These projects can include:

• Business development projects
• carve-out of businesses, or merger of entities, optimization of legal and regulated entities' organization
• IT projects

The Head of International Treasury (Merchant Services Business Line) takes care of the appropriate coverage of these projects by Treasury teams and makes sure that business expectations and deadlines are met. Depending on the project, the Head of International Treasury (Merchant Services Business Line) will represent the Treasury function alone, or jointly with relevant members of treasury teams.
Lastly, the Head of International Treasury (Merchant Services Business Line) is involved in Group Treasury management and supports works and projects led by the Group Treasurer.

Who Are We Looking For

• Master's degree or equivalent experience
• 10-15 years of experience including at least 5 years of management experience in an international business environment
• Fluent in French & English, a third language is a plus;
• Strong financial and Treasury expertise, with significant corporate Treasury experience; payment knowledge is a plus;
• Excellent leadership skills and ability to effectively manage, lead and supervise a multidisciplinary team, within or outside direct span of control
• Excellent analytical background in financial matters, including ability to generate and review financial data
• Able to report on an executive level
• Strong communication and business partnering skills
• Work in a proactive and diplomatic manner
• Excellent command of generic IT tools, including Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, as well finance-specific tools such as SAP, and a Treasury management system. Knowledge of FIS Integrity is a plus
