Job description
Camino Search is working on behalf of a leading Private equity-backed software business who are in search of a seasoned and dynamic Interim Chief Information Officer (CIO) to spearhead a carve-out project.
This role entails overseeing the strategic planning and implementation of all information technology-related endeavors throughout the transition phase. The perfect candidate will showcase a wealth of experience in project management, exhibit robust leadership capabilities, possess technical proficiency, and demonstrate the capacity to instigate change within a high-speed environment.
Responsibilities include
- Develop and Execute IT Transition Strategy: Lead the development of a comprehensive IT transition strategy, ensuring seamless migration of systems, data, and processes from the parent company to the standalone entity
- Stakeholder Management: Collaborate with key stakeholders including executives, department heads, and external consultants to align IT initiatives with overall business objectives and ensure effective communication throughout the carve-out process
- Infrastructure Assessment and Optimisation: Assess existing IT infrastructure, identify areas for improvement or optimisation, and oversee the implementation of necessary changes to support the standalone entity's operational requirements
- Data Security and Compliance: Ensure the implementation of robust data security measures and compliance protocols to safeguard sensitive information during the transition, adhering to regulatory requirements and industry standards
- Driving Key KPIs for Carve-Out Success: Define and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) specific to the IT carve-out project, measuring factors such as system integration timelines, data migration accuracy, and operational efficiency improvements to gauge the overall success and effectiveness of the transition
- Leading Implementation of New IT Systems: Oversee the selection, customization, and deployment of new IT systems, including ERP and CRM platforms, to support the standalone entity's operations and strategic objectives
- Team Leadership and Talent Management: Provide strong leadership to the IT team, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture, while also managing any necessary restructuring or talent acquisition to support the carve-out project's goals and objectives
