Key accountabilities
You will BE involved in the wide-ranging activities undertaken by our site-based teams, which will include :
- Analysis of the input data models for BIM aspects in coordination with production team according to project procedures
- Preparation of the model before the beginning of the production (according to BYLOR requirements)
- Coordination of the 3D activities on the model namely in terms of : - Interfaces
- Management of phases
- Organization of the works and modelling priorities
- Control of the proper application of procedures for 3D production
- Management and support of the draftsmen for the 3D issues
- Communication with the engineers regarding the interfaces between structures
- 3D Control of the 3D native TEKLA models in relation with the senior designer according to the project procedures
- IFC creation and IFC check (weekly export and for each GR) according to ICOS procedures and following a planning provided by production team
- Management of the users' rights of the Tekla shared model
- Back-up and restauration of database
- Networking with others BIM coordinators (Process improvement and lessons learned) Skills & experience
Your skills are important and your attitude towards taking on fresh challenges to innovative 3D rebar modelling is key. You'll enjoy working closely with other engineers, engineers pilot, BIM Coordinator, BIM manager, chief draftsman, draftsman, project managers and multi-disciplinary teams and BE able to work with these stakeholders to define solutions.
THE BIM COORDINATOR PROFILE :
- Suitable skills and education BIM (Building Information Modeling), Training or Diploma
- Software + : TEKLA Structures, NavisWorks
- Knowledge : IFC, BCF
Following knowledge and experience are also an asset :
+ Programming code : Object-oriented programming, Open API C# + knowledge of the Nuclear Civil Works environment
Additional information : This role will require security clearance and offers of employment will BE dependent on obtaining the relevant level of clearance.This is a 6 month contract opportunity.
